What is a Yoga Wall? & Why You Should Use It!
Our yoga wall is a safe and important tool for advancing your practice as well as correcting underlying imbalances that manifest as injuries and chronic pain. The Yoga Wall was developed by B.K.S. Iyengar. This Practice is often referred to as Kurunta. A rope wall offers a feeling of security to experience the benefits of a posture without straining or injury. By using gravity, the rope will allow you to safely open up and achieve a deeper and more efficient stretch. From beginner to advanced, this practice is for everyone! We always have a spot for you on the ropes!

Benefits of Rope Yoga
Because the body is tethered by the ropes and anchored with the feet, a pose like Downward Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana) can be held for a much longer period of time. This gives the practitioner an opportunity to refine and focus on their breath and go deeper into the experience of asana. Increased circulation to the lower back is extremely beneficial to all students, especially those with kyphosis-an abnormal over-rounding of the spine.
Many beginners of yoga are not always ready for deep inversions, but a rope facilitates the process by making the student feel more stable and secure. On the principles of Iyengar Yoga, the ropes help students become more aware of the orientation of their bodies, allowing room for breath and control.
Why Try It?
After you give it a try results, you will want to get back to the ropes. You will leave our studio feeling more support in your spine, walking a little taller and much more relieved.
