Miranda is passionate about providing well rounded classes of all paces and styles by suggesting both challenges and modifications for her students. She believes in cultivating a supportive community that can allow her students to explore their bodies with effective alignment instructions and the use of various props. Through conversation, she helps to give her students a deeper understanding of what they can be capable of in their asana practice. Miranda moved from her hometown of San Antonio, TX to El Paso, TX in December of 2014 and began attending classes at Surya Yoga shortly after. She became deeply inspired by the sense of community and fell in love with the personal challenges her practice led her to, both on and off the mat. She completed her 200 and 300 hour alignment based yoga teacher trainings at Surya Yoga, led by Morgan Mazza. She returned to San Antonio in August of 2020 eager to share her knowledge and journey with others in a new and exciting chapter of her life. Miranda has a career in animal husbandry, and has a deep passion for conservation and animals. She has three cats of her own at home. She is an avid movie lover, and enjoys exploring new restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries in her free time.
